Jamboree Housing Corporation Announces Major Support of “National Night Out” in 30 CA Communities

IRVINE, CA – Jamboree Housing Corporation announced that it is elevating its corporate support of National Night Out this year as part of the company’s initiative to expand its reach into the communities in which it owns and operates properties throughout California. Jamboree is a leading community development organization that specializes in the development of quality affordable housing with services for working families, seniors, people with special needs, and veterans.

Scheduled to be held August 4, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with the goal of making the nation’s neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Some 37.8 million neighbors in 16,124 communities across the country host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, and first responder exhibits.
Laura Archuleta, Jamboree president, said the company and two of its long-term partners – the John Stewart Company and Capital Valley Investments – will actively support National Night Out with financial backing and company personnel in 30 communities in which Jamboree has properties, which include the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Citrus Heights, Claremont, Fontana, Garden Grove, Irvine, Lancaster, Riverside, San Clemente, Santa Ana, Sacramento and Woodland. Jamboree will either host an event at one of its local apartment communities or play an active community role by joining forces with city partners and/or police departments.

Archuleta pointed out that the company’s expanded participation from eight communities last year to 30 this year is part of its strategy to reach out further into the communities in which it has a presence to help strengthen neighborhoods through its social, education, health and wellness, and personal advancement programs and services offered at no cost to residents and local neighbors.

“As a leading developer of affordable housing, we believe we have much to offer to our residents as well as all residents in the communities in which we own and operate properties,” Archuleta said. “We want to bring more benefits to a community and establish closer ties with local officials and residents by providing support for such events as National Night Out. Our support also demonstrates our commitment to assist local police with crime prevention in the neighborhoods we serve, creating safer, healthier places for families and individuals to live, work and play.”
